LHU to host the 523rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment for four undergraduate programs

From June 9 - 11, 2026, LHU, in collaboration with the ASEAN University Network (AUN), will host the 523rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment for four undergraduate programs: Pharmacy, Business Administration, English Language Studies, and Accounting, marking another significant milestone in the University's ongoing commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement in line with regional and international standards.

This is a reassessment of the four programs that were previously accredited by AUN-QA in 2021. The current accreditation certificates remain valid until July 24, 2026. Over the past accreditation cycle, the respective faculties reviewed recommendations from the previous assessment, developed improvement plans, and implemented enhancements to curricula, teaching and learning methods, student assessment activities, student support services, and quality assurance conditions.

In 2024, LHU became the first university in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to achieve AUN-QA Institutional Accreditation Version 3.0. Earlier, in 2023, the University successfully completed its second-cycle institutional quality accreditation in accordance with the regulations of Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development and continuous quality improvement.

To date, LHU has achieved AUN-QA accreditation for 18 academic programs, including 14 undergraduate programs and 4 master's programs, as well as two programs accredited by ABET, a reputable accreditation organization in engineering and technology.

Beyond quality assurance and accreditation efforts, LHU has also placed strong emphasis on strengthening its international partnerships. In March 2025, the University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Cintana Education and Arizona State University (ASU), United States. This partnership opens up opportunities for students and lecturers to access international-standard academic programmes, take part in academic exchange, transfer credits, and develop skills that meet the needs of the global labor market.

This external reassessment marks an important step in LHU's quality assurance journey, while further reinforcing its academic reputation within the regional and international higher education landscape. The assessment results will serve as a solid foundation for the University to continue enhancing its curriculum, strengthening faculty and staff capabilities, and better meeting the growing demand for highly qualified human resources in the era of global integration.
