The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has officially announced the results of the Semi-finals for the 8th "Students with Startup Ideas" competition (SV_STARTUP). A project led by a student from the Faculty of English Language has honorably become the sole representative of Lac Hong University (LHU) to advance to the National Grand Finale in Hanoi.

According to Announcement No. 449/TB-BGDĐT dated March 23, 2026, by the Ministry of Education and Training, surpassing thousands of submissions from higher education institutions nationwide, the LHU student project was selected among the most outstanding ideas in the fields of Agriculture, Environment, and Energy.
The Prowess of English Majors in Innovation and Entrepreneurship In a proud achievement for the faculty, the project leader position is held by Vu Luong Hoai Linh, a student from the Faculty of English Language. This success is a testament to the Faculty’s comprehensive educational orientation, which emphasizes not only linguistic proficiency but also the cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to solve practical global issues.

Preparing for the Final Sprint in the Capital Themed “Startups from Schools - Accelerating Innovation, Reaching Out with the Country,” the 8th SV_STARTUP competition serves as more than an academic playground; it is a launchpad for ideas with commercial potential that contribute to the nation’s sustainable development. Reaching the National Finals is the result of tireless effort, demonstrating the LHU student spirit of "Think Thoroughly – Act Sustainably." Currently, the team is in the final stages of refinement under expert consultation, preparing to compete at the National Startup Festival in Hanoi this coming April. This milestone reaffirms the Faculty of English Language's position in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among students. It also showcases the dynamic and multi-talented image of LHU students to the national startup community.
