In July 2023, the AUN-QA launched version 3.0 with many important changes, reducing from 25 standards to 15 and from 111 criteria to 60, with additional focuses on higher education institutions' activities towards sustainable development goals. Accordingly, LHU is the first university in Vietnam to conduct the institutional-level AUN-QA assessment according to this set of standards. This is the 9th assessment of AUN-QA 3.0. The 8th assessment took place at the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines).

LHU aims for sustainable development besides quality assurance

Implementing the 3.0 AUN-QA institutional assessment not only ensures LHU's educational quality but also promotes activities towards sustainable development. The University can integrate sustainable development contents into the curriculum and organize awareness-raising workshops. Effective resource management such as energy saving, waste management and economic uses of water are important measures. Building green infrastructure and spaces on campuses are also encouraged. In addition, the University needs to encourage research and innovation on sustainable development, participate in community programs and promote collaborations with businesses. Training and developing lecturers, managers and students' skills on sustainable development is a key factor. Finally, the University should develop and implement sustainable policies, effective monitoring and evaluation to ensure the continuous development.
