[FAIE: Law] What Does a First-Year Law Student Say About Turning Knowledge into Practice?

    Law Student: Nguyễn Thành Nam

Hello everyone, I am Nguyễn Thành Nam, a student from class 24LA111, majoring in Law, Faculty of Management – International Economics, Lac Hong University. Today, I would like to share the wonderful experience we recently had during our visit to the People’s Court of Trang Bom District.

    A Memorable Day

On the morning of March 14, 2025, as I stepped into the People’s Court of Trang Bom District, I felt both nervous and excited. It was my first time directly experiencing a real legal environment, where the theories we study at university are brought to life.

    Learning from Reality

Attending a civil trial session gave me many new insights. I gained a clearer understanding of court procedures and the roles of judges, prosecutors, and lawyers in legal cases. Observing a real trial was truly an unforgettable experience. I witnessed how the law is applied and respected in every decision. Principles such as fairness, objectivity, and the protection of citizens’ rights were clearly demonstrated.

    Interaction and Inspiration

One of the most interesting parts of the trip was having the opportunity to take photos with the judges and interact with them. They shared real-life stories, professional challenges, and the passion they have for their work. The questions I asked not only helped me understand the legal profession better but also motivated me further in my academic journey and future career path.

    Connecting Theory with Practice

This visit helped me realize the importance of connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application. Studying law is not just about memorizing legal provisions, but also about the ability to apply them in real-life situations. I feel more confident knowing that I am being equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for the future.

The visit to the People’s Court of Trang Bom District was not only an educational activity but also a valuable experience in my journey to becoming a future lawyer. I hope that similar activities will continue to be organized so that we can keep learning and growing.

Thank you to the Faculty of Management – International Economics, Lac Hong University, for providing us with such meaningful practical experiences.
